I am running Rosetta through Boinc on three machines - 2 Macs and a Vista. One of my Macs hasn't downloaded any work for weeks. I've reset the project, and no work... Any ideas? ![]() |

Hello michaelmastro, The Intel based Mac's are still supported by the minirosetta, its the Power Mac (Mac PPC) based processors which are no longer supported by minirosetta. Have a look at this thread with a reaction from David E K (techn/adm): MAC Power PC - There was work for other platforms Good luck to find some fine Wu's for your Mac powerpc. Path7. |

[quote][quote]because the team has decided not to support power mac and instead focus on standard intel/amd cpu type machines running linux or windows. Let's see if I've got this right... I get the "...work for other platforms" message. I spend a good part of several days trying to fix the problem, including Updating; correcting server addresses; Updating; Detach from project; reattach project; etc. And all this time, Rosetta could have issued some kind of message to PPC machines: an email, perhaps? Easier yet, they could have sent it directly to my Boinc manager! Instead they did nothing. No attempt to warn me. Did I get this right? ![]() |
