I have 4 computers running idle at the moment, I get "No work available to process" -message in boing manager. It's been like this at least two days now, is server down or what? Anyone else have same problem, or is it just me?

Sorry but I don't see any and the work generator is disabled.
I just allowed work on a couple of computers but there is nothing to get.

As of 6 Jan 2009 15:25:37 UTC (updated every 10 minutes)
make work servers are offline again and there is nothing in queue.

possible that everyone drained what available work there was available already.
check back later to see if there is any change. It is still early in the West Coast of the US. The team might not be in yet. Also, when you get work, use either you internet page computing preferences setup or the boinc manager advanced - preferences - network usage - additional work buffer setting to add something like 2-3 days of extra work. then you should be ok through these outages for work. I got like 20 tasks last night and am still working on those at the moment.

Should be back on shortly, a wire came unplugged and everyone, with access, was out of town. Probably result in a trip to the locksmith so more keys are made to prevent this next time.

read DEK post here

the external interface to our upload/download servers is currently down. Keith (our sys admin guru) is aware of the issue but cannot fix it until he gets in tomorrow. It is related to the database server issue we had. The connection must have been pulled accidentally when work was being done on the rack.

Sorry for any inconvenience. I imagine our servers are going to be quite busy tomorrow.

Remember though that the project is based in Seattle and that is on pacific time which is -8 GMT?UTC. So it will be early this evening European time before things are back in order. Meanwhile to save yourself a long line of error messages, you can set the project to not get any new work and then restore that setting when things are back to normal.

Yeah I attached a machine yesterday and had to detach it because of no work, it is now crunching for Poem. Not a big deal, the machine is only on for a few more days at most. I am replacing it with a quad core that is already up and running and in the old pc's location. I just need to transfer the stuff on the hard drive over. I hate having machines run but not crunch!
