Here is my 32-bit Windows 7 Beta 1 host computer. Let's hope everything will work well. I am also running the beta, 32 bit, I am attached to ABC@home and it runs just fine. I am using the latest released version of Boinc, 6.4.5. I am having no problems with any program loaded so far and it is fast!! I am running it on a AMD Phenom quad core 9850, that I built for the purpose. So new everything, no upgrade. It only took about 1/2 hour to load from scratch and all drivers were in the Beta. Usually when I load XP I have to use the motherboard drivers disk to load the video, sound and network drivers. Everything works just fine and no extra disks needed, which is WAAAAY cool! I even loaded the free version of Avast anti-virus and it works fine. ![]() |

Here is my 32-bit Windows 7 Beta 1 host computer. Let's hope everything will work well. Minor problem with 64 bit version on GPU Grid for multiple dual GPU cards like the GTX 295 ... the 4 cores are only seen as one per card ... not sure if the same will be true for the third card (minor mishap needing RMA) ... works fine with 32 bit version though ... Which kinda mirrors my experience with 64 bit windows (XP) ... drivers are buggier and heck even the windows update always starts with the 64 bit IE and tells me it has to start the 32 bit and wait 30 seconds ... you would think that it would be smart enough to start the right version of the IE ... Anyway ... I am glad that the new version is looking better ... I may have to give it a try when I have courage ... |

Here is my 32-bit Windows 7 Beta 1 host computer. Let's hope everything will work well. I HIGHLY recommend you download it direct from MS, or some other certified site, the torrents are FULL of "add-ons"!! ![]() |
