One day I opened my e-mail inbox and saw information that I'm user of the day. It was so suprising, and motivating at the same time. ;)

Passed 600K!

It has long been viewed (by me) as the entry appears to the top 20. Now that it has happened it is just a couple more days - barring disaster.

I am saddened to see the decline in active users in the team; we are down 20 in a little over a month.

Also, I am surprised at the number of active users with current averages near zero. There are 10 in the top 40.

This is the most significant of all the projects to me.

its possible they went to other teams

in any case the Rosetta site does not really tell the whole story on the status..
as of now there are 278,528 users out of those 42,981 are active
878,291 hosts out of those 73,300 are active

After 28 months, with a little help from WCG, I'll reach 1 million credits in around an hour, inside 30,600 boinc-wide.

Around the top 1,300 in Rosetta and inside the top 50 Rosetta in the UK too.

About 10 days more to reach 1 million credits on Rosetta alone.

On my original machine I'd have been lucky to reach 50k credits by now. I never thought I'd get this far.

I've got mainly intels by now, doesn't make any difference. No girls either. But I could help out with some Glenfiddich. ;)

It took more than a few computers crunching almost non-stop since late 2005 but today I finally hit the 10 million mark! Hopefully the next 10 million credits will come a little faster:)

YAY! Just hit one million!!! <insert happy dance here>

16 months later I've now passed 2 million Boinc-wide, though slipping back to 31,200 of all crunchers given the higher payouts of other projects.

Within Rosetta I'm up to 835 worldwide, 34 in the UK.

Finaly made it to one million credits on Rosetta, a little target i set myself for this year.

That puts me at 2233 worldwide and 82 in UK.

Duly achieved, a day late due to an unexpected unattended shutdown for a few days on my main system. Oh for the early days of about 70pts a day - I never imagined I'd get here.

Wow! What timing!! ONE MILLION Rosetta@home credits right on year-end! 6 years and one day from when I joined the effort.

Thanks to all that make this collaboration of crowd-sourcing and public participation in science possible. May the new year bring faster CPUs, lower power consumption, and a population of users that value the good of the project over any perceived potential risks to their computer.
